Life moves on..well mine does anyway

Back to school already! Gee the summer sure did fly by so very quickly. I work in the elementary school here and it sure is fun to see the new kindergarten kids come in! It is always interesting to see them the first day and see how they are towards the end of the year..WOW it's amazing! I guess it's like when I start a tile..I draw one pattern and then another..and before I know it I have this wonderful piece of art. It is like the kids...everyday they learn a little something and when they leave at the end of the year , they are like a piece of art.

 Well here is my little piece of art for the day...

Life....

What is it that changes your life? What does it take for that big "aha" moment? Is it the big splashes that happen or those small little droplets of dew? Am I thinking too deeply,am I getting carried away with thought? I guess I am, and rightfully so. Oh about 3 weeks ago I drove down to CT to bring my Dad to the hospital for back surgery. Yes, it was pretty major, but all he wanted to do was to walk again,oh yes and dance! So what would you do, to beable to do the things you love. My son and I brought him, surgery went better than expected and all was well. I needed to come back to NH for 2 days and in the mean time Dad was walking some and on his way to Re-Hab. I hop in my car 2 days later to see him in Re-hab and find out when he will be going home and arrange for that. Mid-way through my ride my phone rings..it's the re-hab people telling me that my Dad had a little problem. He had passed out and was unresponsive for a little while. They got him to come around and he was able to tell them That I was on my way from NH to see him...they sent him off by ambulance to the hospital for the Dr's to find out what happened. Okay I think just another little "blip" all will be well..just keep driving. A little while later the hospital calls to say they have my Dad in the ER to ask for the nurse when I get there. Still no fear or worries..all will be well, I arrive only to be whisked away to a little room to wait for the Dr..still all will be okay..my mind is now playing games. Oh, heart attack..we'll get through it..I can get through anything! Not so! The Dr came in to tell me my Dad had passed away...BAM! Just like that gone...I'm still numb and unable to believe that he is not in his house waiting for me...but wait he is waiting for me..in another house.

I must have faith that I will see him and my Mom who passed away 3years ago..this has changed me! How I'm not sure yet..still processing all that has transpired. But it is inspiring me to live my life..but how? I think I will start with writing about how I feel..which is very unlke me but feel the need for these words to come out of my head and into print.I will also do all the art work I can because it is a way to express myself...I'm very curious to see what happens in the next days, weeks, and months ahead. So here is my beginning,......to life.

Time flies..

Wow! It has been one busy spring..our winter here in NH was tough so clean-up this year has been even tougher! I haven't stopped tangling just posting...I work in the schools here and hope once school gets out  to be posting and creating a real Blog..in the mean time..I'll keep plugging along!

i have been inspired by Marie Brownings book Time to Tangle with Color..so here is one tangle and a pin I did the cover to the pin is plastic..trying a different material looking for ideas!

Here is my atempt at light over dark...it was really fun to do this.

I'm back.....

It's bee awhile since I've last posted. Life sure has away of getting in my way of doing what I love. Oh well, I've had a little Tangler's Block as oppose to writer's block. Here are a few pretty new Tangles..still need to photograph some 3D ZIAs. I'm back and nothing is stopping me now..welll....we'll see.

No time

I guess I better get back to this blog..it has just been alittle crazy here at my home. I do tangle in those times but just no time to get on a computer. Here are a few tangles that kept me from getting crazy myself!

Well here we are at the half way point between winter and spring..with us(I'm in NH) getting at least another 14 inches of snow. Does this all bother me ? Noooo because I can sit with my coffee look out the window and watch the birds..and tangle to my hearts content. No sense in complaining about all the snow and days to make-up at school..nothing you can do except look at whats good! I always tell myself and my kids ...there is always some good in something! So off to load my wood stove,so we're warm and tangle up a storm!!!!!!

Saturday class..

My 4th class was today and how fun it was! The best part for me is seeing the loks on peoples faces after they have created something! I had several people that were so scared...and they did a FANTASTIC job! They all walked away wanting more and feeling so good about themselves! Ahhhh the wonders of Tangling! Now off to do my own tangles....alittle wine a little tangle...a little wine alittle tangle ...you get the picture!

As I sit and wonder what the night will bring...i tangle to get myself in a calm and centered place

What should I talk about....

Well , I work in the school here in my town and with the cold weather and all a water main is broken so here I am at home...getting ready for a full class on Saturday..can't wait! I'm also involved in a swap of Valentine ATC's  with a group of women..working on those. Of course I'm looking at doing some larger scale work too..oh ...so here are a few more pictures of Tangles..I'll post the others later . In the meantime ...just keep doing what you love!
